Cain F Nub Event at Taylor's Cigar Lounge

I am finally back to blog! I had the fortune of being able to shoot the Cain F Nub Event at Taylor's Cigar Lounge in Long Beach on June 18. Usually with any event there are a lot of candid shots and not much mingling for me as the photographer. With any Taylor's event it is just the opposite. It was a blast! I met a lot of wonderful people, including Cain owner Sam Leccia. Not only is he the owner, but he is a superb and artistic cigar roller. This guy is no joke! He was a very cool cat to talk to and he also rolled some of THE coolest cigars ever. Here is a link to the gallery of images and below that are some of my favorites from the night. At the end of the night Sam gave me a hand-rolled and it was honestly one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. I actually was amazed at how good it was. Can't wait for my next one... in about 5 minutes! Enjoy the gallery!

O.C. Fair Photo Contest - 2 Entries Accepted!

Each year I enter my photos into the O.C. Fair photography contest and pray the judges like my work. I am super excited this year because this marks the third year in a row I have photos accepted into the fair! This year is special for other reasons, too. I truly love both photos that were accepted and I am excited that Kymberli also got two of HER photos in this year, too! What an incredible year. I am always humbled when my photos are accepted, but also extremely excited.

Here are my two entries that were accepted.

Good luck to all who got photos in and good luck to my wife. I'll be honest, I'd love to see a ribbon on my photo, but just having it hang along side other great photographers makes me feel pretty good, too.

2nd Annual Long Beach Grand Smoke

Lights. Matches. Cigars and whole-lotta-smoke! Last Saturday was the 2nd Annual Long Beach Grand Smoke and it was off the chain. There were at least 100 more people there this year than last and it was packed! It was held at the El Dorado Country Club in Long Beach. Here are some of the photos from the event so you can create your own story of how the night went. A big thank you to Albert Espinoza of Taylor's Cigar Lounge for getting me involved both years. He's a class act and I highly recommend his shop.

For those of you who had your photo taken and you would like to buy prints, here is the link to the gallery:
