I decided to play around with some textures tonight on Michelle and Gabriel's photos. Kymberli raves about her textures, so I wanted to try them out. For anyone who doesn't know my style of photography - I like sharp, colorful images that show in-camera technique. I usually don't like to mess with them too much because I want our clients to see the real deal. BUT... many of our clients are leaning toward the new, funkier, edgier types of style and I need to cater to that, too. So here are two of mine from tonight.
Photoshop has come a long way since the late 80s and it is a wonderful tool. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on these, good or bad. I am a sponge for learning how to do things better!

I, for one, love them! But surprise, surprise! ;) I especially LOVE the first one - that rocks! Great job, babe!
Hi Al!
I'm with you; I usually prefer sharp photos, with great color. I do like the muted, rough look for photos you want to look older though, if that makes any sense.
Barb
Photoshop is definitely king. Not many a day goes by that I don't use it for something.
Remember Corel Draw back in college? I think that alone proves that we can appareciate Photoshop just that much more.
Apparently I can't type "appreciate" today.
Thanks, Barb. It's difficult sometimes to stray from the norm - especially when you appreciate the sharpness of your photos. The aged photo can look nice if done well. So far I am liking it, but I think the 2nd photo has a bit, too much. I'll have to pull it back some.
Roody-san,
Yes, every day I find a use for it. PSP is an amazing tool.
Corel Draw... wow, I haven't spoken those words in a long time. I remember that program well! It got us our start to where we are today. Seems like yesterday we were playing football and goofing around in class.
SOLID!!!! great use of textures! Keep up solid work.
p.s. tell you wife i said HI!
